Premises Supervisor

Description:

Hamstead Hall Academy Trust is seeking a driven and hard-working Premises Supervisor to support its estates team across multiple academies. The role involves ensuring that buildings and grounds are safe, well-maintained, and provide a positive learning environment. The supervisor will oversee premises functions including building maintenance, grounds upkeep, cleaning, security, health and safety, and management of contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise repairs and maintenance across all academies within the trust.

• Monitor and manage contractors and cleaning staff to ensure high standards.

• Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire, and manual handling regulations.

• Perform or oversee work related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry/joinery, painting, and glazing.

• Support the administration and operational management of premises-related activities.

Skills Required:

• Experience in building maintenance or related work, preferably in an educational setting.

• Understanding of and ability to apply health & safety, fire, and manual handling regulations.

• Ability to supervise and coordinate others effectively.

• Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

• Skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry/joinery, painting, and glazing are desirable.
