Presales Lead Consultant

 

Description:

A rapidly growing European Power & Gas ETRM software company is seeking an experienced and skilled European ETRM PreSales Lead Consultant to join its team. This is a remote/home-based role with flexibility to travel across Europe and occasional visits to the London office (on average once per week). The role offers a dynamic opportunity to work at the forefront of cutting-edge Cloud/SaaS trading software and to lead presales activities, support implementation success, and play a key role in expanding the business across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Sales Director to prepare RFIs and RFPs and lead client demonstrations (both in-person and via video conferencing).

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for ETRM/CTRM software, representing the solution in high-impact client meetings.

  • Serve as an escalation point during new software implementations and upgrades, ensuring project success and high client satisfaction.

  • Support the sales process by providing technical and business insight into the software capabilities.

  • Ensure strong relationships with clients for future references and case studies.

Software Platform:

  • Advanced Cloud/SaaS software specializing in power & gas trading.

  • Target clients: Tier 2 and Tier 3 energy trading firms across Europe.

  • Current client base includes companies in the UK, Germany, France, Norway, Italy, Slovakia, and Spain.

Work Setup & Travel:

  • Remote/home-based with flexible working.

  • Office presence required approximately 1 day per week in London.

  • Client site travel across Europe up to 1 day per week as needed for demos; some will be virtual.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Power & Gas ETRM functional and business analysis experience.

  • Experience in software implementation, with some SQL and configuration capabilities.

  • PreSales experience (formal or informal) preferred.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Languages:

  • English fluency is essential.

  • Additional European language skills (especially German, but also French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Norwegian) are highly beneficial.
