Principal Dev Ops Engineer

Targeted Equipment Interference (TEI) is a capability that is growing significantly in demand, and in response to this the national network is growing. The Principal Dev Ops Engineer is a key part of this, and is a new role that will sit in the central TEI team and will provide deep technical knowledge, leading and providing oversight for all joint projects occurring across the TEI network. In line with funding, this post is advertised on a temporary basis initially for two years, either via a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment.

The role holder will work extensively with partners and stakeholders at a national level and across the ten regional teams, ensuring coordination and cohesion. They will be responsible for defining the technical strategic vision for this network, horizon scanning to understand and ensure operational requirements are met, and for rolling out new capabilities across the network.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience of leading multi-faceted technical development projects as well as broad technical knowledge including: programming, systems architecture, electronics design and RF electronics. You should also have experience in a leadership role, directed and developing technical teams.
