Principal Mechanical Engineer

Description:

• Responsible for delivering quality engineering for static, rotating and package systems design for onshore / offshore facilities.
• Planning, execution and co-ordination of technical procurement follow-up activities
• Execution and co-ordination of Supplier documents and drawing reviews
• Prepare Equipment List
• Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines and third parties.
• Prepare and complete all the documents according to local authorities' requirements
• Attend co-ordination and engineering review meetings as per project requirements

We think you should have:

• Degree qualified, Chartered Engineer
• Significant engineering design experience in the onshore/offshore oil & gas and/or renewable energy industry
• Front End, FEED and EPC experience
• Previous experience in leadership/supervisory position; Ability to manage and plan own work scope and that of assigned engineers/ designers.
• Experience of multiple office execution/workshare
• Experience in preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, requisitions and technical assessment of supplier bids
• Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing of mechanical equipment and packages
• Knowledge of mechanical package equipment such as pressure MEG & chemical injections, fresh water maker, electro-chlorination, HPU, flare tips and ignition, pedestal crane, hose loading station
• Knowledge of mechanical rotating equipment e.g. pumps, compressors, turbines, diesel generator
• Sound knowledge of the relevant design codes for the design of offshore installations
• Previous experience on Russian projects is advantageous
