Description:
Working within the Clyde Design Authority, the Principal Safety Case Engineer is responsible for ensuring that a Fit for Purpose safety case is in place to support key defence nuclear activities related to nuclear powered warships and nuclear weapon systems.
The post holder will act as an authority for the design and safety of nuclear activities in a given Facility, briefing seniors, operators and regulators and working with other UK partners as required.
To achieve this, we will offer significant opportunities to develop your knowledge of nuclear activities and designs through both formal training and on-site familiarisation
As the Design Authority Safety Case lead for a Nuclear Facility you will be responsible for:
In addition, you will support the development and assessment of HMNB Clyde Policy and Standards, ensuring they are consistent with regulatory requirements and expectations.
Skills and Experience:
Engineering Council degree in an engineering/science subject (or equivalent qualification or experience).
