Description:
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership position, with real long-term scope – supporting the HOD/ Partner in managing the team and growing the department.
Key responsibilities as follows:
- Co-leading the department with the HOD/Partner, driving team development, motivation, and performance.
- Leading and managing a team of 5, including senior Associates and Trainees, to meet and exceed targets & client care standards.
- Managing a full caseload while building your own profitable client base.
- There is a busy caseload and clients to manage, driving business development to grow the practice is a strong focus and a BD-focused mindset is key.
- Leading complex matters, including wills, trusts, estate administration, tax planning, succession, and wealth transfer.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements.
- Acting as a trusted ambassador with clients and contacts.
- Maintaining strong relationships with external institutions and local organisations.
- Providing clear, consistent updates to Equity Partners.
- Promoting operational excellence and best practices across the team.
Who they are looking for:
- A Senior Private Client UK qualified Solicitor with 9-14 + PQE, although open to experienced individuals with excellent BD and leadership experience.
- Experience in all aspects of private client work – wills, probate, trusts, succession planning, tax planning, and wealth transfer.
- Strong understanding and exposure to financial remedies
- A confident leader, who is a natural mentor.
- Commercially minded with a proven track record in business development
