Description:

Airbus Operations Limited is offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Information System and Processes Specialist to join its team in Belfast, working on-site. This role falls under the PY directorate, responsible for procurement governance and strategy across the Airbus Group, with direct involvement in the digital transformation of procurement processes.

As part of the PYD (Procurement Digital Solutions and Processes) unit, this role is central to Airbus’ SAP S/4 Hana transformation initiative, aimed at modernizing the main procurement application (MAXIM). The selected candidate will serve as the procurement project leader, overseeing the migration to S/4 Hana and driving forward digital transformation efforts in collaboration with both technical teams and procurement business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement-related digital transformation initiatives and application management at the intersection of business and IT

  • Design, manage, and implement digital solutions that enhance procurement efficiency, specifically around supplier engagement, supply, and control

  • Act as the project lead for the S/4 Hana migration project, coordinating deployment operations and ensuring a seamless cut-over

  • Translate business requirements into user stories or specifications using Agile methodologies

  • Perform detailed feasibility, risk, cost, and impact analyses

  • Ensure consistent change management practices and documentation

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Airbus procurement tools, including SAP

  • Collaborate across multiple functions and European teams to ensure harmonization of processes and technologies

  • Support continuous improvement through business change requests and stakeholder communication

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Management, Information Management, or Computer Science

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital transformation, procurement, and project management within aerospace, automotive, shipping, or technology industries

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Experience in SAP and preferably S/4 Hana implementations

  • Ability to navigate and collaborate in multi-functional and transnational teams

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-oriented mindset

  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodology
