Procurement Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead, coach, and mentor one of our teams, to lead on high value contracts and support the management of the end-to end tendering process.

This role would be perfect for someone who has previous experience of managing a small team, a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn, as well as being able to work under pressure. Ideally, you are a CIPS qualification holder or are working towards this qualification, of which we can provide support for.

To do this role well you will need:

  • Experience in advanced purchasing techniques (e.g. above threshold) and purchasing platforms
  • Experience of managing and running medium to high value (above £500k) complex procurement projects (non-category managed spend) from initial customer engagement through to selection and award of contract
  • Demonstrable understanding of procurement outsourcing contracts
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining good stakeholder relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients
  • Good understanding of Category Management, Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management
