Product Analyst

Description:

The Product Analyst will be joining the API & Developer Experience team that is responsible for the ongoing success of the Developer Portal and its API governance program.

Define and implement the overall API Governance strategy, establishing, and running the API related policies, standards and governance procedures in a way that reduces procedural complexity for NewDay developers and improves time to hello world for the client’s developers.

They will be carrying-out and prioritising API documentation or design-standard changes and service needs into detailed user-stories based on their value, viability, feasibility and usability. By collaborating between business, engineering and product, it will play a crucial role in providing NewDay client’s developers with a unified and end-to-end set of capabilities and experiences.

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• Previous experience working in governance functions or Strategy definitions.
• A track record of delivery using an iterative/agile methodology (e.g. Agile/SCRUM) and experience of agile teamwork tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira, Confluence).
• Solid understanding of financial services – particularly in financial technology and platform strategy.
• Attention to detail with consideration for the full product lifecycle and key success metrics.

And would love you to know or learn:

• Experience in API as a product.
• Knowledge on building APIs and developer facing products.
• Experience working with 3rd party suppliers, e.g. Content studios.
• Certified Product Analyst, e.g., SAFe, BCS, ISEB
