The Product Specialist will play a pivotal role in technical and commercial activities, promoting Wöhner’s advanced product portfolio, identifying market opportunities, and providing both pre-sales and after-sales support. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and be part of a globally integrated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical and commercial analysis of the industrial automation market, identifying emerging trends, technologies, and applications.

• Drive technical promotion and sales activities, both independently and in collaboration with the sales network, with a particular focus on new product lines such as CrossBoard and Electronics.

• Identify customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and generate new business opportunities in coordination with local and headquarters management.

• Research and suggest new products or enhancements to expand the company’s product offerings.

• Provide technical-commercial support during pre-sales, assisting in customer acquisition and ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business goals.

• Deliver after-sales technical support, remotely and on-site, ensuring high customer satisfaction and system performance.

• Conduct technical training sessions for sales teams and customers, promoting in-depth understanding of Wöhner’s systems and technologies.

• Coordinate activities with both the local UK team and the headquarters in Germany to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.

• Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish or German is an advantage.

• Experience: Proven experience in similar technical or product-focused roles within structured or international companies, ideally in the industrial automation, control systems, or energy distribution sectors.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Fieldbus, etc.).

  • Understanding of automation and control markets (machine builders, panel builders, renewable energy applications).

  • Experience with energy monitoring systems.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of design or configuration tools such as CAD or EPLAN is beneficial.
