Production Engineer

Beaumont Select Ltd is recruiting two Buyer / Senior Buyer positions for a long-established and reputable global food business that has been supplying the UK’s leading supermarkets for over 45 years. These are newly created roles aimed at strengthening the organization’s global procurement operations, particularly for food finished goods and ingredients.

These roles will be instrumental in managing an international supply base across 16 countries, including the Far East, North Africa, and South America. The selected candidates will lead sourcing, develop robust supply chain strategies, and manage procurement operations in line with business and customer needs. Strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and excellent relationship-building capabilities are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select, evaluate, and manage global suppliers with a focus on quality, compliance, and risk mitigation.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on cost optimization and supply chain resilience.

• Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions.

• Maintain close collaboration with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement in service levels.

• Coordinate international shipping and understand associated regulations and duties.

• Maintain strong relationships across internal departments to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Strategic procurement experience in food, FMCG, or similar industries.

• Demonstrated ability to manage international supplier networks and drive value through procurement.

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a commercial mindset.

• Knowledge of international logistics, shipping terms, and customs procedures is a plus.

• Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong IT proficiency, especially with spreadsheets and procurement systems.

Working Pattern:

• Hybrid role: 4 days in the office (Surrey), Fridays work-from-home.
