Description:
We are seeking an experienced Production Leader who will lead a multi functional team in the manufacture of welded/ painted/ assembled and tested products to world class quality standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring that your team and the production achieves the business targets for HS&E, Quality, Cost and Delivery for current production/ aftersales and new programme introductions.
This is a significant leadership role that requires a wide range of skills to deliver and drive lean improvements through great engagement with our talented people.
Your Tasks
- Communicate, lead, and inspire in line with the Brose FIRST Principles so that our teams can achieve their full potential.
- Drive Quality and Continual Improvement in line with our Brose Production System and the Company’s Mission, vision, and strategic goals
- Build and lead an effective operational team, including recruitment, training, coaching, developing and performance reviews
- Liaise and develop close working relationship with customers and suppliers
- Capacity planning, monitoring for all resources; manpower, machines, methods, and materials
- Plan and execute budgets, monitor and drive KPIs and improve the enablers to drive results, for all aspects of the business
- Working with our customer teams, both locally and in the headquarters ensuring effective controlled change management including new program introduction
- Absence and Disciplinary management
Your Profile
- Degree or equivalent in Production or Engineering
- Previous experience in leading teams in a manufacturing / JIT environment. We do not believe that this position would suit someone stepping into Leadership for the first time.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work well with employees at different levels, leading cross-functional teams and possesses the ability to make sound business decisions and escalate issues as required
- Strong, demonstrable people management experience, that is employee centric in approach and someone who possess the passion to achieve through sustaining trusted and open relationships.
- Embracing Lean leadership behaviours to drive day-to day improvement activity like 5S and longer-term lean projects to enable continuous improvement in performance and the way we operate. Encouraging participation in our employee recognition and IDEAs schemes.
