Description:
The position requires an electrically competent & highly motivated hands-on team player to ensure the Company’s products are built in an efficient & timely manner in compliance with designs & specifications provided & to production schedules.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure that work practices comply with the requirement of Health & Safety at Work Act & the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
- To understand & comply with the Company Business Management System, Quality Manual, Company Procedures & Standards relating to Production tasks.
- Undertake the mechanical assembly & pipe work (where applicable) in accordance with instructions.
- Take on the responsibility as mentor and coach for other members of the department.
- Check issued items comply with job parts lists.
- Report problems, errors, shortages to Production Management.
- Prepare finished equipment for dispatch. Load / unload vehicles as required, in accordance with Safe Working Practices & applying absolute care & vigilance.
- As & when required, to attend site & assist with site-based activities, such as installation (UK wide).
- Compliance with the Company’s Business Quality Management System.
- Assume other responsibilities as required & work with colleagues to further the best possible performance of the Company
About You:
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
- Ability to meet production schedule within time allowed.
- Ability to meet & wherever possible exceed quality with zero defects or errors.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety in the Workplace.
- People management and training skills.
Desirable:
- A good understanding of electrical control panel work.
- Site working experience.
- Experience of Continuous Improvement.
- GCSE above grade ‘C’ in English, Maths & Science.
- City & Guilds level 2/3 in Electrical Engineering.
