We’re recruiting for a Programme Controller within our Strategic Delivery Office – a brilliant chance to broaden your experience, work with a high-performing team, and contribute to delivering our AMP8 outcomes.

The SDO plays a key role in ensuring our capital programmes are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and with our customers at the heart of every decision. We’re aiming to deliver £1bn in savings while building infrastructure that’s fit for the future – and we need your help to get there.

What’s involved?

You’ll be supporting the governance and performance of our capital portfolio, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with teams across Design, Delivery, and Commercial, providing insight, challenge, and support.

Key Responsibilities Include
 

  • Driving data-led decision-making through high-quality reporting and analytics
  • Ensuring data accuracy and building confidence in our programme insights
  • Presenting key insights to senior leaders and governance boards
  • Proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities
  • Supporting programme resilience and continuous improvement
     

WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FOR
 

  • Experience in a programme or project environment, with a good understanding of project controls (financials, risk, benefits, etc.)
  • Confidence using Excel and Power BI (Primavera P6 or MSP is a bonus)
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference
  • Location: You’ll be based at one of our key sites – Finham (Coventry), Shelton (Shrewsbury), or Raynesway (Derby) – with flexibility to work across locations as needed.
