Join the innovative Safe Autonomy Research Group at WMG, University of Warwick, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and testing of Automated Driving Systems (ADAS). The primary responsibility will be to apply scenario-based testing approaches for verifying and validating the functional and safety requirements of automated vehicle systems. This will involve generating test scenarios, defining and analyzing the operational design domain (ODD), and using scenario definition languages to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. Additionally, you will work with ontological concepts to define and measure the effectiveness of your test scenarios. As a part of a wider interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with experts in scenario concepts, data scientists, simulation-based testing, and safety analysis. Your work will be integral to various high-profile research projects, including Horizon Europe funded projects such as SUNRISE, SYNERGIES, EVENTS, i4Driving, and others. The role offers exposure to a wide range of academic and industrial partners, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in the safety of automated transport. You will also have the opportunity to influence the development of standards and safety regulations within the field.
