Project Engineer

Description:

Donaldson, a global leader in filtration technology and innovation, is seeking a Project Engineer – Industrial Air Filtration to join its Industrial Air Filtration Team. Based in Leicester, this role involves supporting customers across the UK and Ireland, contributing to the delivery of advanced air filtration solutions. The role reports to the Project Engineering Manager and offers hybrid flexibility with opportunities for remote work.

As a Project Engineer, you will lead and manage first-fit equipment projects from quotation through delivery and warranty stages. This includes ensuring successful execution within customer specifications, technical requirements, budgets, timelines, and contractual conditions. You will also collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver tailored customer solutions.

The position involves circa 25% travel to customer sites (approximately one week per month), requiring adaptability and strong client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned projects from intake to completion and warranty closure.

• Ensure all projects meet technical, financial, and contractual requirements.

• Support proposal development and provide on-site technical solutions.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain).

• Troubleshoot and analyze customer queries.

• Maintain high standards of project planning, reporting, and communication.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficient with AutoCAD.

• Background in dust & fume control and HVAC.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Proficient in MS Office tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Holds a valid driving license.

• Preferred: SolidWorks experience, P601 & P602 qualifications.
