We are looking for candidates with 3-5+ years of experience in environmental advisory, preferably within the main roads industry. This permanent role offers a standard 45-hour week from Monday to Friday. A suitable site vehicle will be provided as part of the package to support your work.
For those who prefer a more flexible arrangement, there is an option to travel in on a 5/2 DIDO (drive in, drive out) arrangement, with accommodation provided. A 10% site uplift will also be offered to compensate for the travel and accommodation arrangements.

Range of duties
- Preparation and review of the Environmental Management Plan.
- Review and approve each of the Contractor’s Environmental Management Plan.
- Undertake environmental audits and compliance against their approved CEMP, PESCP and applicable project-specific documentation.
- Direct the Contractor in relation to the provisional items for Environmental Monitoring in the schedule and coordinate the measurement and agreement of quantities monthly for the progress claim.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of all environmental inspections and audits throughout the project and provide all relevant environmental documents to the Principal upon request.
- Respond to the Contractor’s and Principal’s RFIs in a timely manner.
- Prior experience on an Australian road authority (TMR, TFNSW, VicRoads, WA Main Roads or similar) project is desirable
- Knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Legislation
- An understanding IECA Best Practice Erosion and Sediment Control and its implementation in the construction industry.
- Ability to interpret results and trends and present environmental data.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake environmental site inspections and identify improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to draft environmental reports.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both office and field environments.
- Ability to drive a strong positive environmental culture onsite with a proactive commitment to work health & safety, environment, and quality
Minimum Requirements
- Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering bachelor’s degree (or similar);
- Experience providing Environmental technical and in-field application advice in a construction environment, particularly around erosion and sediment control.
- Some exposure to lineal infrastructure construction would be advantageous
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications,
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, confident in producing professionally written reports for clients and contractors.
