Description:

The Business Information Officer helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by helping maximise donor funding opportunities by obtaining and analysing information on all substantial Guide Dogs projects and programmes and working with colleagues across the Fundraising Directorate to match these to potential donors, to ensure funds are generated to provide services for visually impaired people.

Essential

  • A-levels or equivalent (QCF level 3 / SQCF levels 6-7).
  • Specific fundraising or project management qualifications.
  • Project co-ordination and development.
  • Building effective relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Has worked in the charity sector.
  • Supporting development of major capital appeals for a large organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of using databases.
  • Understanding the needs of people who are blind and partially sighted.
  • Understanding the charity fundraising landscape, including the impact of regulations.
  • Ability to understand and analyse detailed information on projects and programmes, pulling together convincing cases for support, and liaising with colleagues across an organisation.
  • Ability to see the big picture, focusing resources where they deliver greatest benefit.
