Project Manager

Description:

The Project Marine Manager is a key role within the Offshore Directorate Marine Function supporting the delivery of Marine Operations and Assurance across the SSEN Transmissions portfolio of projects. The position will focus on project specific delivery ensuring that the vessel and marine activities meet the defined assurance requirement and that the marine operations are executed safely and effectively.

Your Responsibilities Would Be
 

• Ensuring that safety remains the number one focus across all marine operations.
• Owning the marine and vessel assurance process within a specific project.
• Interface extensively with the project team and the project marine contractors, subcontractors and vessel personnel.
• Provide marine input into the project contract and stage gate documentation; owning the development and implementation of the Projects Marine and Vessel Management Plans.
   

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
 

• A natural leader with an excellent understanding of marine assurance, extensive knowledge of marine standards, processes and practices, advanced knowledge of different vessel types used in marine construction and their mission specific equipment.
• Preferably a Master Mariner with Command Experience and will have extensive Marine and Vessel Assurance Experience; familiar with IMCA and OCIMF.
• Experience in the Offshore Energy industry with extensive experience in marine operations and environmental factors.
• Experience in accident/incident reporting and providing leadership on site in terms of safety management.
