Description:
I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading defence manufacturer in South East England for an experienced Scheduler to join their engineering development team. This role is fully onsite and client-facing. 🏭
Key Responsibilities 📋
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project, including resource-loaded Work Breakdown Structures
- Align engineering resources to project deliverables and monitor availability ⚙️
- Conduct schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations and implement mitigation strategies
- Communicate schedule updates and risks clearly to engineers, project managers and senior stakeholders in face-to-face meetings 🤝
Essential Experience ✔️
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project: scheduling, WBS design and resource planning
- Proven track record of planning complex engineering programmes
- Demonstrable experience running Monte Carlo-based schedule risk analyses
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
Desirable ⭐
- Background in engineering project management/planning
- Prior exposure to Defence or Government-cleared environments (SC/DV)
- Commitment to continuous process improvement
