Project Scheduler

Description:

I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading defence manufacturer in South East England for an experienced Scheduler to join their engineering development team. This role is fully onsite and client-facing. 🏭

Key Responsibilities 📋

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project, including resource-loaded Work Breakdown Structures
• Align engineering resources to project deliverables and monitor availability ⚙️
• Conduct schedule risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulations and implement mitigation strategies
• Communicate schedule updates and risks clearly to engineers, project managers and senior stakeholders in face-to-face meetings 🤝

Essential Experience ✔️

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project: scheduling, WBS design and resource planning
• Proven track record of planning complex engineering programmes
• Demonstrable experience running Monte Carlo-based schedule risk analyses
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills

Desirable ⭐

• Background in engineering project management/planning
• Prior exposure to Defence or Government-cleared environments (SC/DV)
• Commitment to continuous process improvement
