Conekt Legal, in partnership with a leading global law firm, is seeking a talented Projects Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join the firm’s top-tier Energy, Transport and Infrastructure (ETI) practice based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects, providing legal expertise across various sectors including rail, airports, healthcare, education, housing, water, waste, defence, telecoms, and renewable energy.

• Advise clients on procurement and finance models such as PFI/PPP, refinancings, project variations, and commercial contracting for large-scale infrastructure developments.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver legal solutions on complex transactions within the energy transition space—including onshore/offshore wind, solar, hydro, energy-from-waste, and battery storage projects.

• Engage directly with clients, fostering long-term partnerships and offering commercially sound, strategic advice.

• Provide support and guidance in project finance, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and innovation in client deliverables.

• Represent the firm in major UK and international projects, contributing to high-profile deals that drive infrastructure growth and environmental impact.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in projects, energy, or infrastructure law.

• Excellent academic record and a strong foundation in commercial contracts and project finance.

• Demonstrated experience advising clients on large-scale public or private infrastructure projects.

• Strong client relationship management skills and ability to build trusted partnerships.

• Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.

• Exceptional communication and project management abilities.

• Team-oriented professional with experience collaborating across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.
