Qse Manager

Description:

A growing food ingredients business is recruiting for a QSE Manager (Quality, Safety and Environmental) to develop the site strategy for food safety, quality, health & safety standards. You will have experience working with BRC version 8 and be qualified to HACCP level 3.

Commutable from: Maldon, Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Billericay, Tiptree, Tollesbury, Basildon, Brentwood

Salary: £ 50,000 p.a. - £60,000 p.a. plus pension, holidays, progression opportunities and numerous other benefits

The Role of QSE Manager:

• Champion food safety, site safety, quality and environmental compliance across the business

• Lead the HACCP team and maintain the plan through regular reviews

• Lead and develop 3rd party certification standards

• Manage the internal audit programme and food safety culture for the site

• Manage document control and update technical policy documents

• Ensure food safety, quality, health & safety and environmental management systems are embedded and maintained

• Lead coaching, training, and information to enable the site teams to deliver their food safety & quality requirements to a competent level

• Maintain good relations and contact with regulatory bodies

• Work closely with the operations team supporting and implementing change projects

The ideal QSE Manager:

• Degree qualified in a relevant food, food science or technical subject

• HACCP level 3 or higher

• NEBOSH general certificate or IOSH Managing Safely

• Experience with BRC Version 8 (BRCv8)

• Lead auditor qualification would be beneficial
