Description:
An ambitious and growing business in the gaming industry is looking for a pragmatic and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and contribute to strategic financial planning. This is a remote-based position with occasional travel to Bristol, ideal for a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a part-time CFO and the wider management team.
The role offers a balance between transactional finance and commercial finance responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and providing insights that support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily transactional finance functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, and bank account reconciliation
Prepare and present financial reports to senior stakeholders
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling across the group
Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital requirements
Prepare and distribute concise royalty reports for external partners
Regularly update forecasts with stakeholders to ensure alignment on business expectations
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred; or qualified by experience
Strong experience in month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting
Background in gaming or entertainment industry is a plus
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and general financial software
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise, and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to improvement
