Qualified Finance Manager

Description:

An ambitious and growing business in the gaming industry is looking for a pragmatic and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and contribute to strategic financial planning. This is a remote-based position with occasional travel to Bristol, ideal for a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a part-time CFO and the wider management team.

The role offers a balance between transactional finance and commercial finance responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and providing insights that support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily transactional finance functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, and bank account reconciliation

• Prepare and present financial reports to senior stakeholders

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling across the group

• Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making

• Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital requirements

• Prepare and distribute concise royalty reports for external partners

• Regularly update forecasts with stakeholders to ensure alignment on business expectations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred; or qualified by experience

• Strong experience in month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting

• Background in gaming or entertainment industry is a plus

• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and general financial software

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise, and meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to improvement
