Quality Engineer

In your role as a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Quality Team within the rigorously regulated Aerospace & Defence industry. Under the guidance of the Senior Quality Engineer, you will assume responsibility for the formulation and implementation of robust quality controls, assessment protocols, and best practices aimed at upholding the utmost standards of manufacturing process quality. Your key responsibilities encompass the formulation of methodologies for the sampling, inspection, testing, and validation of textile products to ensure their adherence to stringent quality criteria.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

· Contribute to the analysis of design information and production methods to develop and integrate quality controls for plant, machinery, equipment, ensuring adherence to production standards.

· Define quality frameworks, standards, specifications, and tolerances for allocated product lines, ensuring best-in-class safety performance.

· Set the frequency and intensity of quality checks for processes and procedures.

· Manage relationships with stakeholders, including design engineers, manufacturing colleagues, QHSE, third-party production partners, and service providers.

· Identify and address shortcomings in quality processes, identify root causes, and collaborate with production engineers to implement adjustments.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Survitec's knowledge management system.

· Conduct product development and engineering activities.

· Foster an environment that aligns with Survitec Values and promotes inclusivity and diversity.

· Prioritize safety and contribute to creating a safety-first culture.

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

· A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Quality Engineering within the Aerospace and Defence industry.

· Experienced working within AS9100rev D, / ISO9001:2015 quality certified organisation

· Good working knowledge of AS9145, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, Control Plan

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

· Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities

· Computer literate
