Quality Engineer

Description:

BAM Infrastructure is engaged in a major energy project at Hinkley Point C, delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks, and infrastructure. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality through liaison with the KBJV delivery team and client regarding inspections, conducting surveillance and quality investigations, and supporting the implementation of a robust Quality Management System. The role includes attending quality meetings, delivering training, producing quality data and reports, and ensuring effective KPI tracking and quality culture maintenance across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with KBJV team and client on Hold and Witness inspections and Surveillance activities

• Inspect and conduct surveillance on-site

• Investigate and resolve specific quality issues

• Present quality training to staff and supply chain partners

• Ensure robust implementation of KBJV QMS and supply chain quality management

• Organize and attend quality meetings, reporting on KPIs and trends

• Support development and implementation of contract-specific KPIs

• Review and assist implementation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, and improvement initiatives

• Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs (Corrective Action Reports), and observations to closure
