Description:
The Housing Health and Safety Advisor supports Lewisham Housing Services to maintain the highest standards of safety for residents, staff, and properties. The role involves providing expert advice, developing and implementing policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a positive safety culture. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders and active participation in strategic and operational safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
Develop and implement policies, strategies, and statutory compliance practices.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend effective actions.
Promote learning and training opportunities to embed a safety-first culture.
Represent the Housing Health and Safety team in meetings and through stakeholder reports.
Qualifications:
NEBOSH National Diploma or General/Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
Technical or graduate membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH).
Proven experience in health and safety advisory roles.

Additional Requirements:
Hybrid working arrangement; primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London.
