Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading Peak Manufacturing’s IATF 16949 Quality Management System. This role ensures product conformity, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction while supporting a culture of quality throughout the organization. The Quality Manager will supervise the quality team, coordinate internal audits, collaborate with customers and vendors, and uphold compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
This position requires someone who embraces a small-business mindset—willing to lead, support, and wear multiple hats as needed to ensure the success and integrity of the organization.
Position Description:
Quality Management System (QMS):
· Lead, facilitate, and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
· Schedule and oversee internal and external quality audits.
· Maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
· Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for internal and customer concerns.
Team Leadership & Support:
· Supervise and support the quality team in their daily activities, including inspection, documentation, and problem-solving.
· Provide training and development opportunities for quality team members.
Customer & Vendor Interaction:
· Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and suppliers.
· Manage customer complaints and ensure timely and effective resolution.
· Monitor supplier performance and collaborate on corrective actions as needed.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
· Ensure product conformity through monitoring, inspection, and verification processes.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of manufacturing and business operations.
· Stay current with quality regulations, trends, and best practices.
Job Requirements:
· Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Experience in quality management and manufacturing processes.
· Proficient in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, Control Plans).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with quality software is a plus.
· Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in a quality management role within manufacturing considered.
