Quality Technologist

Description:

Pod Talent is currently partnering with a global leader in the ingredients and nutrition industry to hire a Quality Technologist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role, based in Greater London, offers a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a solid background in food or nutrition manufacturing to advance their careers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Quality Technologist, you will take the lead on supplier audit pack approvals and renewals across an expansive global supply chain. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining quality documentation through platforms like Docuware, FBSS, and ADW, ensuring all practices comply with both internal quality protocols and external regulations.

Your duties will include supporting the onboarding of new suppliers by conducting risk assessments and verifying certifications such as Organic, FAMI-QS, and Animal Feed. You’ll address technical queries, manage non-conformances, and participate in inventory review processes for blocked goods. Additionally, you’ll contribute to HACCP meetings and help drive improvements in the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve and renew supplier audit documentation globally

• Maintain and organize quality documentation and systems

• Support supplier onboarding with thorough compliance checks

• Resolve technical queries and manage quality incidents

• Participate in HACCP meetings and QMS enhancements

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Quality, Technical, or R&D roles in the food, ingredients, or nutrition sectors

• Strong understanding of HACCP, BRC standards (Food or Agents & Brokers), and applicable food legislation

• Familiarity with retailer specification systems such as QADEX or Hamilton Grant

• Prior exposure to auditing processes and complaint/non-conformance management

• Proactive, highly organized, and capable of working under tight timelines
