Quantity Surveyor

Infraspec, a growing consultancy that partners with Tier 1 contractors across major UK infrastructure programmes, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial and NEC contract experience. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to be part of high-profile national infrastructure projects, with flexibility and long-term growth prospects.

As a Quantity Surveyor specializing in NEC Change and Commercial, you will work closely with project planners using Primavera P6 and liaise with delivery teams and subcontractors to manage commercial change effectively. You will be instrumental in assessing compensation events, validating change impacts, and ensuring commercial recovery in compliance with NEC3/NEC4 (primarily Option C).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage NEC compensation events, early warnings, and risk provisions.

• Collaborate with planning teams (Primavera P6) to evaluate programme impacts.

• Liaise directly with contractors and subcontractors for validation of change and commercial impact.

• Prepare and maintain cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and change reporting.

• Contribute to commercial strategy and support dispute avoidance measures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in infrastructure, rail, or civil engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and change management.

• Background in contractor-side commercial management or consultancy support to contractors.

• Familiarity with Primavera P6 schedules and planning deliverables.

• Strong commercial judgement, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
