Rating Administrator

 

Description:

Graham + Sibbald is seeking a Rating Administrator to join their Business Rates department in Glasgow. The role focuses on providing administrative support to the Rating team to ensure smooth operations and effective client service. The position requires efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to client enquiries.

  • Formation and maintenance of client files.

  • Contact assessors and clients on behalf of surveyors.

  • Lodge appeals with Assessor’s offices throughout Scotland.

  • Issue Grounds and Comparison via AIMs and maintain Riverlake and AIMs systems.

  • Produce appeals, letters, emails, fees, citations, and T&Cs.

  • Establish regular reminders for Ground Comparisons.

  • Assist in the production of the Rating Newsletter.

  • Generate key management information on appeals, fees, etc.

  • Prepare financial spreadsheets for clients.

  • Issue regular updated Citation lists, including all statutory dates.

  • Filing and retrieval of documents.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in an office environment.

  • Full understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate tasks, and meet deadlines with accuracy.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
