Description:

The Queen's Club is offering a permanent Receptionist role to join their vibrant Reception team. The receptionist will be essential in delivering excellent member experiences and ensuring high standards of customer service across the Club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist Members, guests, staff, and visitors professionally and politely.

  • Follow opening, closing, and daily reception procedures accurately.

  • Manage court bookings for Members and guests, including cancellations and waiting lists.

  • Handle payments for guest fees and shop sales accurately; report discrepancies.

  • Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally; record and pass messages.

  • Address Member complaints appropriately and escalate to Senior Receptionist or Duty Manager.

  • Record and relay positive feedback.

  • Maintain knowledge of Club Rules, Bye Laws, and events, assisting with enforcement and promotion.

  • Keep reception tidy and ensure up-to-date promotional materials are displayed.

  • Monitor court usage via CCTV; report any security concerns.

  • Follow management and security protocols during any security alert.

Health and Safety / Safeguarding:

  • Adhere to the Club's safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Report maintenance and health and safety issues promptly.

  • Follow Manual Handling Regulations and work safely at all times.


Candidate Profile:

  • Organized, efficient, and proactive.

  • Warm, friendly, and approachable with a natural smile.

  • Excellent communicator with clear speaking voice.

  • Literate and numerate with strong command of English (written and spoken).

  • Computer literate.

  • Ability to multitask effectively.

  • Experience in reception work, telephone systems, and shift work preferred.

  • Career receptionist and interest in sports are desirable.

  • Must have no restrictions to work in the UK.


Working Hours:

  • Reception rota requires availability for weekends, early mornings, evenings, and bank holidays.

  • Ability to work overtime to cover rota.

  • Early start by 6:55 am and close at 9:00 pm.
