This is a new role for the team, as the firm continues to grow we now have need to bring in an additional recruitment advisor to help enable our recruitment process.
This role will have 2 main components; half dedicated to recruiting individuals for roles across the business in our fee earning and central business services teams, the other half will be responsible for our early careers recruitment, including graduates, apprentices and work experience, it is expected that the balance between these two areas will flex with changing priorities at different points over the year.

Using innovation and proactivity you will be tasked with reducing our agency spend significantly by building networks and creating talent pipelines using LinkedIn and other tools. It will be critical for you to embed yourself in our business, getting to know the teams and analysing the skill gaps and future skill needs. As an ambassador for the business you will embody our values and work closely with our marketing team to create innovative approaches to attract the best talent from Graduate through to senior hire.

Being responsible for our early careers recruitment will be an exciting and rewarding part of the role – you will work closely with our D&I Manager, with universities, and across the business to attract new talent to the surveying and planning industry. This part of the role will include building close relationships externally and internally, helping to develop and position our apprenticeship and work experience programmes, as well as our well established graduate programme. You will responsible for organising our assessment days and ensuring candidate experience is of the highest level for all roles.

Main responsibilities

  • Working with our current Recruitment Advisor to carry out the recruitment process for all roles in the business; fee earning, technical, secretarial and business services
  • Scope?out roles with the hiring partner and HR Manager/Advisor,?manage the authorisation process, create engaging and?insightful?job descriptions?in line with our employer brand
  • Manage our graduate recruitment, placement year, apprenticeship and work experience processes; working with universities, schools, apprenticeship providers as well our internally to develop a market leading early careers recruitment programme
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn,?direct applications, employee referrals and agencies???
  • Arrange and assist in?interviewing candidates?in combination with other members of the HR team
  • Manage our PSL
  • Proactively create and manage talent pipelines to reduce time to hire and have an engaged candidate base we can source from and attract to positions
  • Assist in training hiring?managers in interviewing?techniques and creating?interview question templates for different roles that reflect our skills and behaviour framework?
  • Help develop and enact our D&I strategy for recruitment
  • Promote our employer brand online??
  • Analyse recruitment data; assessing conversion rates, D&I data, success of our recruitment process, and use this data to continuously improve our approach and processes
  • Promote our employee referral scheme with employees?
  • Support with onboarding of new starters? helping to provide the best candidate experience from start to finish
  • Use knowledge of employment law and data protection to ensure our processes are compliant with changing legislation and best practice
  • Other such tasks that are appropriate for the skills and knowledge of the incumbent
