Regional Comms And Engagement Manager

 

Description:

In this role, you'll lead the business area to deliver consistently high levels of stakeholder engagement and communications, internally and externally. You'll lead and develop specific stakeholder engagement and communication strategies including informing, consulting and involving stakeholders where relevant and evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

  • Lead the development, and evaluate the effectiveness, of appropriate stakeholder engagement, including forums, meetings and special events, that support outperformance of stakeholder and customer engagement objectives e.g. customer surgeries / distributed generation forums / third sector and local authority engagement.
  • To lead continual performance improvement and encourage integration of innovation to support the execution of stakeholder and communication strategies that result in outperformance of regulatory obligations and incentives.
  • Develop and deliver short, medium and long term plans to promote the SP Energy Networks brand and alignment with local communities and stakeholders.
  • Development and implementation of initiatives that will ensure outperformance against regulatory obligations and incentives associated with Stakeholder Engagement and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Undertake stakeholder research projects, including developing and implementing strategies for continually improving stakeholder and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and promote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities.
  • Develop and maintain robust regional stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of the company to facilitate delivery of customer and stakeholder strategic objectives.
  • Through robust stakeholder engagement and feedback, implementing innovative solutions and embracing change through adapting business process to deliver outputs in a challenging environment and positively impact business performance.
  • Create long term partners with relevant internal and external contacts, as well as identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, that are key to the successful execution of business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team to ensure each individual’s potential is fully developed and inspire a culture that ensures the delivery of high-quality business outputs

     

What You’ll Bring
 

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining stakeholder networks
  • Proven experience of professional stakeholder engagement
  • Proven experience of managing, motivating, coaching and developing people
  • Ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities using sound judgement to determine options and solutions
  • Capability to manage and influence challenging discussions / situations at all levels
  • Understanding of key business drivers and the external commercial context in which SP is operating
  • Highly organised with project delivery experience, with a strong performance ethos and a track record of driving and delivering initiatives through others
  • regulatory and commercial experience would be advantageous.
