We are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for a new home opening in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire for children and young people with EBD.

This is an exciting role for a Experienced Manager to join our company at a time of growth and development to lead this brand new home.

To be successful in this role you must;

  • Have recent experience of managing a children's EBD home
  • Hold a level 5 diploma in children and young peoples residential care
  • Level 5 leadership and management
  • Have a sound understanding of current Childrens Home regulations
  • Be dedicated to providing outstanding care
  • Have a Full UK Driving License

With this role you will become part of a great provider with ample opportunity to grow and develop. We would prefer a Manager with previous experience of opening a brand new home as you will be required to go through the ofsted registration process.

A experienced RI who has many years experience as a registered manager will assist in setting up and getting the service registered with ofsted.

Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive care and support to children in a home care setting - Recruit, train and manage a full team of staff for the smooth running of the home
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the children's daily activities, including meals, hygiene, and recreational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor their effectiveness
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible care for the children
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided and any changes in the children's condition
Skills:
- Strong background in a previous registered Manager position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with children/staff and establish a nurturing environment
- Financial acumen for budgeting and managing resources effectively
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Foster a culture of continuous improvement and deliver a high standard of care
