Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage our CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ Home Care Service, located just south of Oxford. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office, and driving efficiency and profitability without compromising the care and well-being of both clients and carers.

As a Registered Manager, your core responsibilities will include managing a team, handling all operational tasks, and ensuring the service maintains high standards. You will be assisted by an Office Manager, and together, you will oversee the delivery of care services, ensuring they meet both regulatory requirements and the expectations of clients and carers alike.

You will have a strong background in health and social care management or nursing, along with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including clients, carers, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the health and social care sector, either as a nurse or in a management capacity. We are particularly interested in individuals with a nursing or administrative background who may have recently retired from the NHS and are looking for a rewarding role that leverages their experience.

In this role, you will also need to stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and best practices in the field of home care. Your ability to apply these practices, maintain excellent client care, and lead a dedicated team will be key to the success of this service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily running of the office and service operations.

  • Ensure the service is efficient, profitable, and adheres to all relevant regulatory standards.

  • Prioritize high-quality care for both clients and carers, creating a supportive and safe environment.

  • Oversee and support a team, ensuring that all staff are well-trained, motivated, and compliant with operational and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, carers, and regulatory bodies to ensure the delivery of outstanding care.

  • Maintain and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and sustainability of the service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong background in health and social care management, or nursing.

  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, carers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Previous experience in care services management or a nursing/administration role, preferably with a background in the NHS.

  • A passion for providing high-quality care and managing a team that ensures client well-being.
