Description:

This is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) service providing specialist care for young people aged 12–18 who are living with diagnosed mental health conditions.
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in protecting and supporting the wellbeing of patients, providing holistic, person-centred care, and helping each individual achieve positive outcomes. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, gaining hands-on experience in clinical practice, facilitation, and management — all while being supported by senior nursing staff and clinical leaders.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your nursing career in a high-quality care environment while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
Protect and support the physical and mental health of individual patients/residents within the CAMHS service.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive programmes of care, including discharge planning.
Deliver health education and promote wellbeing among young patients and their families.
Gain experience under supervision in clinical practice, facilitation and teaching, and management.
Take charge of the ward, unit, or department in the absence of senior nursing staff when required.
Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the 24-hour service.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, safe, and high-quality patient care.
Uphold the standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the values of Active Care Group.
A current NMC registration (RMN or RNLD) is essential.
A legal right to work in the UK.
CAMHS experience is desirable but not essential — training and development will be provided.
Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights as needed.
