Description:

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team based in the CQC rated -Good, hospital in Emersons Green. You will be part of a close knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our inpatients team comprised of experienced nurses and healthcare assistance supported by our Ward Manager. As well as undertaking basic ward duties you will oversee the new patient admissions, ensuring key documentation is completed and introducing them to the care team looking after them. All of our work is planned so you will be able to plan your week with ease knowing your work schedule won’t change.

Please Note Shits Are a Mix Of The Following
 

  • Long day 07:00 - 20:00
  • Early 07:00 - 15:00
  • Late 12:00 - 20:00
  • Night 19:00 - 08:00
     

What you'll be doing

To deliver direct patient care to a group of designated patients during their inpatient episode, delegating and supervising care delivery of HCA’s ensuring optimal standards at all times. Ensuring care and practices meet all external requirements of regulatory bodies working to the NMC code of practice at all times and within the framework of Practice Plus Group policies and procedures

Effectively manage and lead staff, supplies and equipment. This will involve taking charge of the ward in the absence of more senior staff providing the appropriate level of competence has been achieved.

To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, practicing and maintaining a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patients experience and ensuring safety for patients, visitors and staff in the department.

What we'll look for in you

You Will Have The Following
 

  • Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • Relevant post registration experience
  • Recent experience in a surgical ward, preferably across different specialities
  • Good understanding of infection control
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own and others workloads when under pressure
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate
