Registered Veterinary Nurse

Description:

Linnaeus, a leading veterinary group, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team at Shires Veterinary Practice in Walton, Stone, Staffordshire, on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an on-site role offering a part-time schedule of 30 hours per week across 3 or 4 days with no weekend or out-of-hours (OOH) work.

The selected RVN will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary and fully staffed nursing team, including RVNs, Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), and Patient Care Assistants (PCAs). The practice is committed to providing high-quality care and a strong team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver contextualized, high-quality veterinary nursing care across surgical, anaesthesia, medical, and clinic rotations.

• Provide hands-on care in a collaborative environment that includes both primary care and mid-tier referral cases.

• Perform and assist in Schedule 3 procedures (encouraged).

• Engage in the pursuit of clinical excellence, continuous learning, and team collaboration.

About the Practice:
Shires Veterinary Practice operates five clinics across Staffordshire and the Midlands, with the main hub located in Walton. The facility is equipped with modern diagnostics including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy, with separate cat and dog wards.
