Description:

Deutsche Bank, a global financial leader with strong European roots and a worldwide presence, is seeking Regulatory Operations Analysts to join its Global Network Management (GNM) team. The role sits within Regulatory & Cross Product Operations and focuses on ensuring Deutsche Bank’s compliance with regulatory obligations related to client asset protection and agent bank management.

GNM oversees the Agent Bank Selection, Appointment, and Due Diligence process across Deutsche Bank entities, ensuring compliance with regulations such as CASS (FCA), BaFin, CFTC, and MiFID II. The Analyst will be responsible for conducting remote due diligence, reviewing detailed responses from agent banks, monitoring risks, and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions. This role also involves managing operational queries, handling regulatory reporting, and supporting audit requirements.

The position requires a high level of regulatory awareness, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to interpret complex data. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote due diligence, review agent bank responses, and identify risks for escalation.

  • Perform legal documentation reviews as part of the due diligence process.

  • Monitor market changes and disruptions, distributing updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Manage and resolve operational queries and escalations in a timely manner.

  • Collect, analyze, and present data to support regulatory reporting, reconciliations, and audits.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including CASS (FCA), SCAF (MiFID II/BaFin), and CFTC requirements.

  • Provide regular updates, risk escalations, and highlight remedial actions when necessary.

  • Coordinate, host, and document meetings with internal teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload.

  • Strong regulatory and risk awareness with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex responses to the AFME due diligence questionnaire (~400 questions).

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools: Excel (pivots, v-lookup, text functions, formulas), PowerPoint, SharePoint, Tableau (advantageous).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in coordinating and minuting meetings.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support different workstreams within a global team.
