Research Analyst

 

Description:

As a Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from surveys to provide valuable insights for decision-making and strategic planning. You will be responsible for identifying existing suitable and validate questionnaires that could be used or modified, adapting and designing survey questionnaires, managing survey data, and analysing survey results. Your findings will contribute to the development of CFK interventions and the achievement of our project goals.

 

Your Responsibilities

As a Research Analyst, your responsibilities in this voluntary role include, but are not limited to:

· Identifying existing suitable and validated questionnaires that could be used or modified.

· Adapting, designing, and developing survey questionnaires to gather relevant and accurate data.

· Testing surveys on appropriate focus groups.

· Implementing surveys through various methods, such as online platforms, telephone interviews, or in-person interviews.

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand research objectives and collect specific data required to support CFK’S projects.

· Staying updated with the latest survey research methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance data collection and analysis processes.

· Conducting literature reviews and gathering secondary research to support survey findings and provide context to the research findings.

 

Collaboration

· Working collaboratively with other key people across the project, as well as external partners as required

· Attending and making positive contributions in internal CFK Meetings, including the monthly CFK Club Meeting, The Welcome Meeting, Team Meetings and other meetings as required.

 

Experience / Skills

· Proficient in survey design and implementation methodologies.

· Experience working in public health nutrition or a related field.

· Experience in analysing survey data for nutrition or related research topics, with demonstrated fluency working in the R environment.

· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from survey data.

· (Desirable) Solid knowledge of statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, SAS, or R.

· (Desirable) Proficient in data cleaning and validation techniques.

· Familiarity with research ethics and data privacy regulations.

· Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in survey design and data analysis.

· Excellent attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey survey findings and recommendations. Fluency in English is essential.

· Previous experience of working for Charities and/or volunteer organisations is desirable but not required.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software for data analysis and visualisation.
