Description:
The University of Nottingham is leading a newly-established Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team, Lincoln, Loughborough Nottingham (PHIRST-LIGHT), funded by the NIHR until February 2027. The role holder will support the evaluation of a wide range of public health schemes/programmes that are happening in local government across the UK, as allocated to PHIRST-LIGHT by the NIHR. You will work with researchers at the collaborating universities to plan and conduct work using a range of approaches and techniques appropriate to the type of evaluations, using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. You will also support dissemination activity, including writing up work for publication.
A significant part of this role will be dedicated to supporting patient and public involvement (PPI) in research. We expect the role holder to be comfortable setting up and managing PPI groups, whilst working to support successful inclusion of PPI voices in each evaluation. This role is an excellent opportunity to work across a range of public health topics and to support equality, diversity, and inclusivity through public involvement in research.
