An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hartree Centre Cardiff Hub and School of Computer Science and Informatics. You will be joining Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research led universities, as a Research Fellow for the newly established small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) engagement hub funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). The Hub will support SMEs with artificial intelligence (AI) and data science technologies through knowledge transfer and sprint projects, targeting companies in the Cardiff Capital Region and Western Gateway areas who want to better understand how digital innovation can transform SME productivity, strengthen resilience and enhance growth.

The successful candidate will have established expertise and proven portfolio of research and innovation, and/or relevant industrial experience within artificial intelligence and/or data science. They will lead the data science team within the Hartree Centre Cardiff Hub, leading SME engagement projects in artificial intelligence and/or data science innovation, providing assistance to SMEs within the scope of the Hartree Hubs programme. They will contribute to the research and innovation programmes of the Hub and School of Computer Science and Informatics, through commitment to carrying out research and innovation leading to the development of research impact cases.
