Description:
LSE is a leading social science institution with some of the greatest global impact. Our researchers are world-leading thinkers on critical issues. This role, to provide key research funding and development support, is based at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment (GRI), one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. Within the Institute sits an ever-increasing range of research projects funded from a variety of sources, from research councils to philanthropic income.
The post-holder will work with a wide range of colleagues to provide expertise around the process of developing and submitting high quality and competitive proposals that support our work. They will also support reporting of outputs, promote responsible and ethical conduct of research and arrange for suitable training opportunities for Institute staff. Possessing current knowledge of research grants, funding opportunities and the funding landscape the post holder will also have experience of effective delivery of projects and proposals within an academic institution or a similar environment. Educated to postgraduate level, or with a degree (or equivalent) and equivalent experience, they will have excellent communication skills, strong inter-personal skills, and will be proactive and committed to providing a high standard of professional support to research funding activities.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
