Description:
The Research Project Manager will oversee the operational support for Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) in the WISHES (Workplace Intervention for Sustainable Health and Employment Support) project. This exciting 3-year project, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), aims to improve health and work outcomes for workers with disabilities and health conditions. The Project Manager will manage all aspects of PIE, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning, and will liaise with the Principal Investigator and co-applicants. The role involves supporting the effective delivery of the project, prioritizing accessibility and inclusion, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
The Project Manager will also lead the management of project budgets, including income and expenditure, and will coordinate internal and external events. They will ensure the project meets its objectives and deadlines, while also fostering collaboration among partner organizations and universities. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operational and project management support for the Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) aspect of the WISHES project.
Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of PIE elements to meet project objectives.
Prioritize accessibility and inclusion, ensuring full participation of stakeholders.
Act as the main point of contact for PIE-related enquiries and provide advice on strategy, policy, and operational procedures.
Manage stakeholder relationships across partner universities and organizations.
Oversee project budget management, including resource planning, forecasting, and reporting.
Coordinate travel, itineraries, and hospitality for project-related activities.
Maintain filing systems for project documents in line with NIHR guidelines.
Organize and manage internal and external events, ensuring accessibility.
Support the development and management of the WISHES web pages and social media.
Perform other duties as required to support the project's goals.

Essential:
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage resources effectively.
