Description:
This is a consultative & strategic Retail/Trade Account Development role requiring the successful candidate to undertake between 3-4 quality client visits per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & expand the brand’s presence within the independent decorative retail channel/ Independent Home Improvement Retailers and The Decorative Trade
- Build strong partnerships with specialist independent trade retailers & interior designers to secure long-term growth.
- Deliver technical & sales training to Retail staff on technical qualities of paint products
- Ensure company brand standards are adhered to in each store
- Ensure products are well presented within brand parameters
- Achieve agreed sales and profit targets through new business development and account management.
- Drive sales to premium professional painters through specialist trade retailers and company-owned showrooms.
- Represent the brand at exhibitions and industry events.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of decorative retailers & home improvement retailers
- Minimum 3 years account management experience selling a premium brand home improvement product.
- Experience of training and mentoring trade & retail shop floor staff in order to increase sales
- Experience of collaborating with Trade Retailers to maximise sales
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently in a field-based role.
- Passionate about design, vibrant colours and premium interior decorative products.
