Risk & Compliance Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join a respected Legal 500 firm based in Cambridgeshire. This is a key role, offering scope to influence firm-wide policy, promote best practices, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance in a supportive, forward-thinking environment

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the firm’s compliance and risk management framework
• Ensure adherence to SRA regulations, AML requirements, GDPR, and Lexcel standards
• Manage internal audits, file reviews, and regulatory reporting
• Support or liaise with the COLP/MLRO functions
• Provide training and guidance to staff across the firm
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and adapt firm policies accordingly
• Contribute to the firm’s approach to business continuity and professional accreditations

About You

• Proven experience in legal compliance or risk management, ideally within a law firm
• Strong working knowledge of SRA, AML, and data protection regulations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Experience with Lexcel or similar standards is a plus
