Your Task

  • Deliver the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and Operational Safety Rules (OSR) training packages to both RWE employees and external contractors as required.
  • Assist with authorisation assessments of persons who will hold roles under either the WTSR or OSR.
  • Continuously develop both the WTSR and OSR based upon RWE Offshore Wind feedback and industry/legislative evolution.
  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation and development of all Safety Rules training packages.
  • Actively engage with all relevant stakeholders in providing guidance to ensure understanding and compliance with safety rules including the utilisation of auditing processes.
  • Assume the role of subject matter expert with regards to relevant safety critical information and root cause analysis investigations.
  • Interface with project stakeholders throughout the asset lifecycle to ensure safe by design concepts and processes are implemented in relation to safe systems of work.
  • Provide insight into industry good practice, through participation in external forums, in order to provide innovative solutions to RWE Offshore with regards to SSOW.
  • Ensure standards and lessons learned are adopted within RWE Offshore Wind HSE Technical Specifications and support the Technical Due Diligence processes.
  • Provide support and expertise to other RWE Offshore HSE specialists and teams including in the evaluation and implementation of new offshore renewable technologies.
     

Your Profile

  • University Degree or equivalent in engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Hold or willing to work towards achieving a relevant internationally recognised qualification as a HSE professional.
  • Significant experience and involvement with the UK Safety Rules (HV and WTSR) holding the role as an AE / SAP or similar.
  • Relevant experience and technical competence in relation to engineering assets including an in-depth knowledge of operational working routines and processes.
  • Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of relevant legislation/standards.
  • High level of reliability and self-initiative, accurate, practical, respectful and thorough with the ability to set and maintain quality standards for oneself.
  • Positive communication / interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior managers, colleagues and business partners and as such you will have been recognised and valued as a trusted contact and influence.
  • Able and willing to conduct frequent UK travel with overnight stays upon request to support the various business units. Occasional international travel may be required.
  • Business fluent in English
