Description:
The Energy Lab UK is seeking an experienced and proactive B2B Customer Sales Administrator to join its dynamic distribution team based in Barnstaple, North Devon. This full-time permanent role involves working closely with a team of seven to manage approximately 20 long-standing customer accounts. The company will be relocating to a modern office and warehouse facility in South Molton in Autumn 2025; therefore, a valid driving license and ability to commute is essential.
In this client-facing role, you will act as a key liaison between customers, internal departments, and logistics teams to ensure the smooth delivery of renewable heating solutions. You will be responsible for managing customer projects from initial brief through to quoting, ordering, and final delivery coordination. You will also handle general office administration and provide support for marketing and new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing B2B customers
Take briefs for heating projects and coordinate with specialist departments for system design (e.g., underfloor heating, MVHR, etc.)
Prepare and issue customer proposals and quotations
Input and process sales orders using Sage software
Coordinate deliveries with logistics and communicate shipping timelines to clients
Handle customer enquiries regarding stock availability, pricing, and project updates
Manage returns in coordination with the purchasing department
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM system
Perform general office administrative tasks including database updates, filing, and answering phones
Provide basic IT support including printer and computer maintenance
Attend trade shows to represent the company and network with industry professionals
Conduct B2B sales outreach via email and telephone to support new business development
Assist in managing LinkedIn content and engage with responses to posts
Candidate Profile:
Previous experience in customer service, account management, or sales administration is essential
Familiarity with heating systems or renewable energy solutions is preferred
Friendly and cheerful demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with CRM tools and Sage software is desirable
Ability to attend trade shows and represent the company professionally
Must be able to commute to Barnstaple and later South Molton
Working Conditions & Benefits:
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Location: On-site in Shirwell near Barnstaple (relocating to South Molton)
Salary: Up to £28000 annually (depending on experience)
