Sales Engineer

 

Description:

We are currently recruiting for a client for a Sales Engineer (based in South Oxfordshire) you will work with the Sales Director and the rest of the sales team to meet annual sales targets.

Working on the full range of technical sales activities you will develop sales plans by product and geography to maximize revenue growth including lead development, price quotations, contract negotiation and account management as you raise turnover via existing, new and existing clients.

The role will provide significant opportunity to utilize your Physics or Engineering background (or similar) as you provide custom solutions for non-standard products obtaining clear customer definition for unique applications, through to providing technical guidance to customers on product enquiries. You will be selling technology from component to large-scale instrumentation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Compilation of commercial and technical documents for tenders

• Compilation / updates of standard quotes and costings

• Responding to customer enquiries and providing quotations as required

• Global customer visits and conferences where required

• Weekly and monthly sales report on prospects

• Use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Sage software packages

• Online calls with customers presenting solutions and CAD models / Data analysis

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

Degree in Science / Engineering (or relevant experience).

Prior experience with cryogenic equipment is an advantage.

Strong sales experience.

Ability to maintain focus and business acumen during sales/business negotiations.

Confident with Microsoft Office Packages (Word and Excel).

Strong written and oral presentation skills.

Experience using CRM Software.

Customer focussed.
