Sales Engineer

Description:

Listgrove, a global recruitment and HR specialist across various sectors including plastics, packaging, petrochemicals, chemicals, energy, and recycling, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. This position will be focused on driving business growth in technical markets. The role is field-based, requiring travel 3-4 days a week within the Northwest of England, with broader responsibilities for developing accounts across England and Wales. The successful candidate will manage relationships with customers at all levels of the supply chain to drive growth, using their technical and commercial knowledge to sell mechanical components and touch point systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to drive business growth
• Develop and implement sales plans, setting objectives and tracking sales performance
• Build and manage relationships with key customers across various industries
• Prospect for new business and contribute to ambitious growth targets
• Identify new product sales opportunities and contribute to product development
• Attend key account meetings, ensuring regular communication with customers and stakeholders
• Promote the company's capabilities and maintain accurate customer records
• Provide monthly analysis of key accounts, report on performance, and forecast sales objectives

Education, Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in technical sales
• Strong desire for a career in sales, with a focus on solution selling
• Self-motivated, confident, and excellent at negotiations and communication
• Comfortable developing relationships and meeting customers
• Experience with technical products and solution selling is favorable, but not essential
• Computer skills are advantageous
• Must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel
